who are we to judge? the whole point of it is to get rid of illness but those that are not for it say it is wrong because it abuses children, using their stem cells.

There is a difference between stem cell research which has led to Major discoveries & embreonic stem cell research which has lead to the distruction of unborn children you should not take a life to save a life. It’s immoral.

I believe that stem cell research can be very beneficial to those who will benefit from the discoveries. Another question… if we don’t want to pursue it because it will hurt the children then why do we still test on primates, dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, etc… do you think that they don’t hurt as well?

There is no preventing stem cell research of any kind. The issue is public funding.

If embyonic stem cell research is worth pursuing, private companies would jump all over it.

Stem Cell Basics:
· These cells could be the “missing link” needed to cure some of the world’s most deadly diseases.
· Scientists already have shown they can direct the development of human embryonic cells into insulin-producing cells that might help cure juvenile diabetes.
· Up to 100 million Americans may benefit from this research.
· Embryonic stem cells offer more promise than adult stem cells.
· Most scientists believe and studies show that embryonic stem cells will likely be more effective in curing diseases because they can grow and differentiate into any of the body’s cells and tissues and thus into different organs.
· The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation (CDRF) supports research involving both adult and embryonic stem cells.
