stemcells
Chrissy asked:

a treatment was available, but..they had to use the stemcells from your unborn baby or those of your closest relative what would you decide? and why?
I don’t believe it is right for a variety of reasons.
However, the argument has been repeatedly made that people will have abortions anyway.
So I am curious, as to their viewpoint when it concerns their own offspring, as opposed to some unknown teenage girl etc..

There is no evidence stemcells from unborn kids helps anymore than adult stemcells. It’s just a liberal way to soften people up to killing more kids.

Why would you use stem cells from an unborn baby when they can be obtained from a single fertilized egg that is going to be autoclaved anyway?

Oh yeah that is right, because right-wingers don’t want frozen embryos from fertilization clinics used.

well. since i am not afraid to die and i am not gonna kill an innocent to save myself, the answer is obviously none for me, thanks.

If I had had an abortion (unlikely because i’m a guy) then the unborn child. If the relative didn’t have to die to get stemcells the the relative.

It wouldn’t be my decision, It wouldn’t be right to force people to be organdonars what makes you think It would be right to force people or unborn babies for that matter to donate stem-cells? If I was in that hypothetical situation, if I get stem cells it will be b/c of someone else deciding to give their stem cells to me not b/c I forced them to.

I counter with asking why every one is so afraid of stem cells. They have nothing to do with unborn babies, killing, etc.

We are talking about cells in a petri dish, for goodness sakes!

Why not an out cry for all of the “unborn” babies that are destroyed every year because the donors no longer need them for IVF,

If the unborn “baby” was sitting in a freezer somewhere and consisted of 16 cells, I’d use those. However, since nobody is sure yet if those cells are superior to adult stem cells, let’s wait for science to inform us.

I would let God (nature) decide when it’s time for me to go.
